Job Description

Breeze End Technology is looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer for our Alexandria Virginia office. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing manual and automated testing strategies, maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks, and managing a team of SQA engineers.

Lead Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Duties

  • Lead and manage the QA team to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Design and implement testing strategies and methodologies for mobile/web applications.
  • Develop and execute automated test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
  • Identify, analyze, and report defects and issues promptly, and work with the development team to resolve them.
  • Monitor and track testing progress, and provide regular status reports to directors.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments, including development, and project management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions..
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and recommend improvements to test processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that all automated tests are integrated into the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on automation code quality.
  • Drive test automation best practices across the organization.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and QA with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
  • Must have experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
